A cooking app designed to help users find ideas in the kitchen.
THE
CHALLENGE
People cook mostly at home, their challenges in the kitchen varying from not having enough time to cook, to recipes being too complex. They prefer to plan and make a grocery list to avoid buying on impulse. The most required feature is ingredient mixing based on their choice, dietary tips, and tasteful recipes.
During research, my focus was directed towards understanding their challenges and requirements, how they decide on their meals, the challenges in finding suitable recipes, and their time organization related to cooking.
The most commonly shared responses revolved around these aspects.
THE
SOLUTION
My Sous Chef helps create new recipes based on ingredients you already have, save your favourites, make lists and personalised meals, and find dietary tips based on your preferences.
THE
BRAND
Our user interaction design and branding feature a clean aesthetic with a color palette of dark red and burnt yellow. These colors, known for stimulating hunger, create a subconscious association between our app and the desire to eat.
The "Inter" font, a rounded and easily readable sans-serif, adds versatility and a friendly touch to the design, ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly interface.
